LEGAL STANDARDIZATION OF THE USE OF REMINERALIZERS: LIMITATIONS AND PERSPECTIVES
This paper addresses the issue of the legal framework of fertilizers in Brazil (Federal Law nº 6.894/1980) as well as other regulatory instruments – Decrees and Normative Instructions – that aim for its regulation. Specifically, it addresses the need to amend this legal framework, since it does not provide for or does not allow the commercialization and use of enriched rock dust in order to positively influence the fertility of the soil, as established by Remineralization technology. It shows the process of amending the fertilizers law and how
this might affect the sovereignty of the country, one of the largest importers of inputs for agriculture.
