AMYGDALOIDAL BASALTS TO ZEOLITES OF THE “SERRA GERAL” FORMATION OF PARANÁ BASIN: POTENTIAL AGRONOMIC USE

The amygdaloidal basalts of the “Serra Geral” formation in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, were studied in several blocks, which were defined throughout the state, with the aim of determining the different types of zeolites, the varieties present and the lateral persistence of the mineralizations, as well as its approximated quantification. Samples were
sent for agronomic tests.
